Who I Am and What I Do

Hello, I’m Gemma, and I’m here to help you feel better.
Before becoming a hypnotherapist, I spent 15 years as a Police Officer — a role that brought me face-to-face with people at their lowest. I witnessed struggle, pain, and trauma… but I also saw something else: the resilience and strength people often don’t even realise they have. That insight stayed with me.
Like many, I’ve had my own challenges. During perimenopause, I experienced low mood, anxiety, and a mind that just wouldn’t slow down. I felt overwhelmed — and I knew I needed to find a better way to cope.
That’s when I discovered Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Learning how the brain works and how to support it changed everything. It wasn’t magic — it was science. And just like seeing a physio for a bad back, the more I practised the tools I learned, the better I began to feel.

A Personal and Practical Approach

What worked for me wasn’t just talking — it was also doing. I turned to creativity, and found that keeping my hands busy gave my mind the space it needed to breathe.
I still make time for art and crafting today, and if you’re curious, you’re welcome to take a peek at some of my work.
Because healing isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s quiet, gentle, and hands-on.
